Joseph Caffrey

Joe Caffrey graduated from Lincoln in 2009 where he excelled as a student while holding various leadership positions within the Lincoln Law School Student Bar Association as a representative and an Officer. During his time at Lincoln Joe spearheaded several school and community based projects designed to enhance the student, alumni and faculty experience at Lincoln. Additionally while at Lincoln, he received the Victor A. Bertolani award as voted on by the student body.

Professionally, Joe has worked within the public sector for over 12 years; the last 9+ working for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) where he has worked in different leadership positions. Currently, he acts as a project manager and advisor for senior leadership. In his position Joe utilizes his education attained at Lincoln to resolve complex legal, operational and business problems for this organization impacting hundreds of thousands of people.

Joe is a Sacramento native who grew up and attended school in the area. He has a large family, all of which live in or around Sacramento, and currently has five nieces and two nephews who he regularly spends time with. Joe enjoys being active and participates in a variety of athletic activities including basketball where he is still working on his skills to ensure alumni are well represented at the annual Lincoln student vs. alumni/faculty game.

Within the Sacramento area Joe supports several community based groups including the Sacramento Food Bank. Joe is excited to bring his experience and business minded approach to the Lincoln Law School Alumni Association as Vice President.
