Legal Experience
Ms. Hoppes represents employers and managers in state and federal litigation. Ms. Hoppes has a keen knowledge in the areas of harassment, retaliation, and discrimination along with extensive experience in training and development of staff in these areas as well.
Prior to joining Holden Law Group, Ms. Hoppes worked as an associate attorney for a successful plaintiff-side law firm which mentored her on the fundamentals of discovery, litigation, and effective legal writing. This opposing view of the law has structured her experience to allow her to fully understand how to rebut any allegations which may arise for Employers. She has an intimate and unique background that is leveraged by clients to their full advantage.
Additionally, Ms. Hoppes spent over a decade with a Fortune 200 utility operation with a workforce of over 20,000. Ms. Hoppes fostered her career development in the Human Resource department handling personnel matters ranging from wage/hour analysis, FMLA/ADA compliance, EEO investigations, and all disputes falling under a Unionized labor force including contract negotiations. Ms. Hoppes worked her way up to a classification of expert in her field; after receiving her JD she leveraged that experience into the employment law field. Ms. Hoppes’ practical experience and human resource background allow her to be a conduit for legal advise with the ability to advise on the full gamut of any issue which may arise in the employment law field.
Professional Activities and Interests
Ms. Hoppes is a member of the California Bar Association and the labor and employment law section of the bar. Ms. Hoppes is also a member of the Placer County Bar Association and regularly participates in activities hosted by the Sacramento Bar Association. Ms. Hoppes is an intense athlete who is either running or in a gym six days a week. When not working out, she prefers any outdoor activity she can do with her family including bike rides, hikes and walks.
