The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2013 is being held on Sunday, May 12th, at the Scottish Rite Temple (located at 6151 H St, Sacramento, CA 95819) from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. All are welcome, and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The commencement speaker will be the dignified Judge Emily Vasquez.

It is the great honor of Lincoln Law School to congratulate Professor of Business Organizations, Judge Troy L. Nunley, on his confirmation by the United States Senate as a federal judge for the Eastern District of California. Judge Nunley was appointed as a Superior Court judge for the County of Sacramento by Governor Gray Davis in 2002, where he has handled mostly criminal matters. Throughout his career, Judge Nunley has extended his role as a public servant beyond the walls of the courtroom. He has inspired countless disadvantaged youth throughout the Sacramento region by offering speeches on a range of topics including juvenile justice, overcoming adversity, the value of setting goals and making ethical decisions, and the importance of education. Judge Nunley has received a number of awards for his work, including the Sacramento Indigent Criminal Defense Panel’s Judge of the Year award in 2009 and the California Black Lawyers Association’s Judicial Excellence Award for Continued and Exemplary Service to the Community award in 2010. By all accounts Lincoln Law School is honored to have such a dignified leader as a member of our faculty, and we wish him the best of luck in his service as a federal judge.
